Iconic fashion brand Mulberry was established in 1971. They are now internationally renowned for their quintessentially English style, personality and quality and continue to operate their thriving business from the heart of rural Somerset. .

The luxury leather goods retailer was recently announced as the latest creative industries brand ambassador for Somerset 3D's So Well Connected campaign, which launched on February 14th in Taunton.

The new Somerset 3D video case study featuring Mulberry was launched at the Somerset in Business Conference May 17th. In this Ian Scott Group Supply Manager for the company sets out the history of the Mulberry brand and the benefits that Mulberry has found in its continued trading from Somerset.

Mulberry has grown significantly over the past five years, more than doubling employee numbers in its factory during that time, leading to a new factory site near Bridgwater.

Ian Scott says the company is continuing the strong tradition that Somerset has in the leather industry, keeping these skills alive and benefitting from the experience of staff in the area.

He says "Somerset is really well connected to the rest of the UK and international markets.  We have grown our business here in the last 5-6 years. I would certainly encourage other businesses to look at Somerset as a place to do business or set up for themselves. For us its been a great county."
