The Somerset in Business Conference 2012 organsers Somerset 3D and the Somerset Chamber of Commerce announce the free workshops for the afternoon sessions available to delegates.

Innovate to Succeed will be the sixth conference delivered by Somerset 3D and the Somerset Chamber, and the organisers anticipate it will be a bumper year with delegate numbers expected to be in excess of 230.


Two renowned experts in the fields of business innovation and collaboration will front this year’s Somerset in Business Conference, entitled Innovate to Succeed.


The BBC’s face of classical music, Charles Hazlewood, is the latest well-known personality pledging support for inward investment organisation, Somerset 3D. Charles Hazlewood joins a host of famous Somerset ambassadors including businesswoman Deborah Meaden, actress Sarah Parish and festival guru Michael Eavis in backing Somerset 3D’s 'So Well Connected' marketing campaign, which launched last month.


Somerset 3D presented its strategic plans for the next three years to a gathering of some of Somerset’s most impressive and influential business people at the Somerset 3D Business Ambassadors’ Dinner in Wells last week.


The UK is benefitting from a nuclear renaissance thanks to investment in power plants across the country, from Hinkley Point in Somerset to potential new nuclear sites in Suffolk and Anglesey.

Expected to generate billions of pounds of investment over the next decade, the Hinkley Point C development firmly places Somerset on the map as nothing of this scale has been built in the UK for thirty years. The nuclear new build will be looked upon globally as a blueprint for how nuclear power plants will be built in the future.


The Somerset Chamber of Commerce has been selected, following a competitive pitch, to handle the Somerset 3D inward investment drive for Somerset for another three years from 1st April 2012.


Inward investment organisation Somerset 3D unveiled its new marketing campaign and branding, entitled ‘So Well Connected’, to over 80 Somerset business people at a breakfast launch event held at Taunton Rugby Club on Tuesday 14 February.


The UK’s first Marine Energy Park will be a great boost for the renewable energy industry in Somerset, according to inward investment organisation Somerset 3D.


Well-known Somerset designer and entrepreneur, Roger Saul, is the latest high profile businessperson to become an Ambassador for the county’s inward investment body, Somerset 3D.
